What if the internet was secretly a bad thing? yeah that was supposed to be the idea behind this album
i had composed stuff before for fun really, not any intent to actually make music, i think my music has a sort of amaturish tone to it.
its cool! but i dont know man, music is really hard!
i eventually ran out of ideas for the theme of the album by the third song so i never got any further than that.
above in the music player is everything i had for the project, not all the songs are mixed super well.
or sound very good.
but i liked working on this, made me happy to listen to music i made
Some thoughts on each song:
The first new sound of the future
My good friend ace makes an appearence in this song, as the guy who says the name of the song and album. this whole track is sampled off of one ringtone, the idea being the future is actually stuck in the past.
Holding On
The song i worked the most on, idea was with the internet being mainly accessed via dial-up, the phones are overloaded and nobody can connect with anything but the internet.
really loved the use of samples in the track.
Information Superhighway
Like ethernet and fast speeds i wanted surfing the web to feel intense. Too much information all at once, having no idea where to start, the sudden loss of service, love this one.
friend told me it sounds like a song in a game about running, ill take it.
